Diahann
Carroll believes in giving. She has spent much time working to make women
more aware of breast cancer, something she have had first hand experience
of her self. She served as ambassador and national spokeswoman for Lifetime
Television's breast cancer awareness campaign in 1998-99. She also works

She has been awarded with the Black Woman of Achievment Award from the NAACP's Defense and Education Fund in 1992, and in 1996 she was acknowledged by the Project Inform for her outstanding contributions to the battle against HIV and AIDS. |
